What a wonderful start to the term we have had in Reception! The children have settled into their new environment with so much enthusiasm, eagerly diving into our indoor and outdoor provision to explore all the exciting resources on offer. From building magnificent structures in the construction area to creating masterpieces in the creative zone, their curiosity is already shining through. Alongside all this brilliant play, we have been busy establishing our daily routines and learning our school expectations together, helping everyone feel safe, confident and ready to learn. We are so proud of how quickly our youngest learners are adapting to school life and we look forward to a fantastic term ahead! 

Year 1 have had a fantastic first two days back! We have settled brilliantly into our new routines and enjoyed getting to know our new class.

To celebrate our class name, Rome, we have been learning about Italy and made our very own pizzas! The children loved creating their pizzas and, of course, they are looking forward to eating them as well!

As part of our topic work in Beijing Class, the children have been learning all about pandas! They have enjoyed discovering where pandas live, what they eat and some interesting facts about these fascinating animals. It has been wonderful to see their curiosity and enthusiasm as they developed their knowledge and shared their ideas. Well done to the year 2s for a great start to the term! 

What a fantastic start to the new school year in Year 3/4! The children have settled into their new routines brilliantly, filling the classroom with enthusiasm right from day one. We’ve had a busy first week creating our Class Charter—incorporating the children’s own brilliant ideas—crafting artwork inspired by our class name and discussing our expectations for the year. Well done to all the children for such a happy, successful start—we are so proud of how well they’ve done! 

Year 5 pupils have transitioned smoothly back into school routines following the break. To start the term, both classes focused on embedding our core values—Ready, Respectful, and Resilient—into their daily routines by co-creating their new class contracts. Cusco Class designed a new reading display to promote daily literacy habits alongside their shared promises. Meanwhile, Rio Class completed a collaborative artwork project reflecting their class name, this time focusing on Copacabana Beach to frame their agreed values. Above all, it has been wonderful to see the big smiles on the children's faces and feel their genuine excitement to be back together at school.

Year 6 has made a fantastic start to the new academic year! This week, both classes have been reconnecting with our core school values. The pupils explored a variety of real-life scenarios to discuss how these principles guide our school community, expressing their reflections through a range of wonderful creative outcomes.
